About
I’m a Canadian-born, Hong Kong-raised screenwriter and director represented by Atlas Artists. I write about romance and family through the playful lens of comedy. In other words, the bonds we take most seriously and the funny ways they make us behave.
I’ve taught screenwriting as an adjunct at Columbia University, where I earned my MFA. I’m also a regular advisor for Sundance Collab's Core Elements Screenwriting course.
My shorts have won awards like the Red Dot Communication Design Award and Best Live Action Film at the Forbes 30 under 30 Short Film Festival.
My feature screenplay Jeremy & The Chans was a finalist for the 2023 WGAE x Film Nation Fellowship. My feature screenplay The Healing News of June was named Faculty Selects at Columbia University’s 2025 Film Festival. Recently, I was selected to take part in the 2025 Black List Writer’s Lab with my screwball rom com feature, Slab Serif, which BCDF Pictures (To Leslie, The Hating Game) is attached to produce.
If I’m not obsessing over a movie, I’m probably reading at a Brooklyn coffee shop with the love of my life.
